PIZZERIA SORELLINA

Pizzeria Sorellina in Spicewood keeps it casual and delicious with a lineup of classic and creative pizzas - all scratch-made, customizable, and wood-fired. We love their thin, crispy crust and inventive toppings, fresh salads, and tasty apps. Our favorite is the Enchanted Mushroom which is topped with mushrooms, taleggio cream, and prosciutto. Pair it with a glass of Italian wine or a cold beer, and you’re set.

But Sorellina doesn’t stop at great pizza. They mill their own grains, make their own cheese, and even cure and age wild boar salumi onsite. And if you’re inspired, you can grab some of their pizza dough to create your own masterpiece at home.

The excitement kicks off at 11 AM as we cheer on the Longhorns against the Arkansas Razorbacks, streaming live on a massive LED screen. Bring the family along for a full day of fun with food vendors, yard games, inflatables, face painting, and more!

PEDERNALES FARMERS MARKET

The Pedernales Farmers Market is an absolute gem, and we plan on being there for it every Sunday, rain or shine, in the oak-covered fields behind Pizzeria Sorellina (scroll 👆️). This spot has become our go-to for tasty food and more.

With shaded picnic tables, a kids’ area, two playscapes, and live music, it’s the ultimate family-friendly outing - leashed dogs welcome too!

You’ll find over 50 vendors dedicated to sustainable, local, and artisan goods, plus tons of food and drink options that make it hard to choose. Some of our favorites? The pan-fried shrimp dumplings from Goodie Dumplings - crispy, juicy perfection. And if you’re into pickles, Chrickles is a must-try. We sampled everything from Italian Herbs & Garlic to Habanero Garlic Dill but left with a jar of the unforgettable Ginger Dill.

We also fell for the Lemongrass Ginger kombucha from Blanco Booch, so much that we took home a growler, which we can refill each week at a discount. But the real showstopper was the Thai vendor. We tried the Pork Belly Panang Curry and Mango Sticky Rice, and let’s just say it transported us right back to Thailand - some of the best Thai we’ve had since our trip there. We’re already planning to stock up on these for the week next time.

Can’t wait to try the free-range eggs and meats, and I’m definitely checking out the Pearly Permanent Jewelry vendor popping up this weekend.

HILL COUNTRY TURKEY TROT

Interested in an active way to give back to the community? Mark your calendars for the 8th annual 5K Turkey Trot and 1-mile Puffin' for Stuffin' on Thursday, November 28th. The race winds along the scenic cart path and grassy areas of The Hills of Lakeway Golf Course, drawing over 2,000 participants each year from competitive runners to joggers, walkers, stroller pushers, and even leashed dogs. Thanks to the incredible community support, $80,000 was raised for Lake Travis schools last year!
